Reportage Cyprus Wedding Photography

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book you for my Cyprus Wedding?

In order to book me, please click here and download a booking form for you to print off, read through and sign, aswell as securing your wedding date by means of a holding deposit of €150.
This can be paid in one of three ways:
1) PayPal.
2) Credit or Debit Card. A few details are required to pay in this manner.
3) A normal sterling cheque, sent to me with the booking form. This carries a 10% charge to cover conversion rates and administration costs.

The remaining balance can be paid in cash on the wedding day or by any of the methods above at least 14 days prior to the wedding (28 days for cheque payments).
The booking form is to be received by me within 30 days. Also, I do need you to make a decision on the package required which is to be written on the booking form. You are of course welcome to make changes at anytime up until 1 month before the wedding as I might have to make preparations for these changes. However, any changes made to the packages will need to be backed up with a new booking form and signature. All payment information is detailed on the booking form after the terms and conditions.

*note: the booking form cannot be emailed back as it needs to be signed in ink.

Can I change my package once I have booked?

Of course you can. I try to accommodate for all budgets, as we fully understand that a wedding can be a massive strain, and if things are getting a little tight, why not take out a lesser package and pay for the rest of the photographs when you are able to afford it. If the High Resolution Disc is purchased, I only archive what is on the disc, otherwise I keep everything I shoot filed for a minimum of 5 years.

Or perhaps you might find you are better off than you thought you would be or a member of your family wishes to purchase an extra as a wedding present, please, by all means add anything you wish.
I will endeavour to accommodate your every need. However, any changes made to your package will have to be backed up with a newly amended and signed booking form, to be posted to us here in Cyprus.

Will you meet us before the wedding so we are familiar with you and so you have some idea what we are looking for?

I can of course meet you before your wedding day. Unfortunately, due to massive commitments to other weddings, the meetings will have to fit in where possible and will need to take place in Oroklini, near Larnaca.

What contingency plans do you have in place in case you are unable to do the job, through illness etc?

I have something like this mentioned in the booking forms T&C’s that mentions that either party are able to break off the contract due to sudden illness (Force Majeure or Act Of God). This is something that I cannot control. Rest assured I would not being letting you down for any standard illnesses. It would have to be something extremely incapacitating to prevent me working. In which case, if I were able, I would do my best to make arrangements to ensure you had a photographer at your wedding. I have a number of contacts around Cyprus and I am sure this will not be a problem.

What happens after the wedding? When will we get everything?

Once I have completed your wedding, I will upload your wedding photos, in the form of a gallery, to my website within 48 hours (usually 24 hours). These photographs will have minimal editing work done to them. From here you will have time to make your image selections which I will then work on. Depending on how quickly you make your selections, will determine how quickly you receive you photographs. I would ask you make your selections within two weeks of your wedding date. Unfortunately, because of the amount of post-production work that goes into working on high resolution images, I normally have to post your disc on to you in the UK. I would say a two to three week turnaround time is likely once the image selections are received. However by special request we may be able to rush the images through, but we cannot give guarantees due to the large workloads in the middle of the season.
Prints are done through a professional lab in the UK and they are mailed to you at your home address. Once the order is placed at the lab, you should receive the prints within 7 days.

What is the process you work to?

The photographs in the web gallery will have minimal time spent on them but they will be correct in terms of exposure and contrast. After processing, the images may end up looking a lot different to what they do in the gallery or they may look very similar. It depends on the image and the situations they were shot in. I shoot in RAW image format which holds a lot more more information than a standard jpeg or tiff. Shooting in this way enables me to correct any problems with the images afterward. I will attempt to bring out detail in any bright patches or indeed any dark patches. I will colour correct and adjust colour saturation and ensure the images have the optimum contrast and brightness.
For examples of the differences between an image that has had minimal finishing work done and a completed image please see below.

Do you charge for a sunset photoshoot?

No. You book me for my time spent with you. My time starts from the start time you specify and I finish when I have stayed for the amount of time you booked me to stay for. You will need to check the sunset times for you wedding date. Please visit here for sunset times.

What is the difference between a Photo Storybook and a Traditional Photo Album and do you supply them?

Traditionally, newly married couples would receive a Photo Album. A selection of their wedding day photographs glued in. This is not something I currently do not offer I am afraid, as I don’t normally have much call for using them anymore. The Photo Storybook has a much more modern approach. The photos are printed directly on to the pages and then bound together to make a proper book. I find the Photo Storybook’s have a much more professional finish and of course there isn’t the problem of photos falling out and the problem of the glue degrading photographs which you do get with the traditional album.

What is the High Res Image Disc?

I would always recommend that you should have the High Resolution Image Disc. It is, depending how pictures you purchase, a massive selection of images burnt on to disc for you and is the equivalent of the photographer giving you their negatives. With this disc, you will be free to print as many images as you like. The images are supplied with a blend a of colour, black & white, tinted and stylised. If you visit my web gallery you will have an idea of what you will receive on your disc. I shoot with 21 megapixel Canon 5D MKII digital SLR camera, which will give you a file size big enough to enable you to print your pictures to almost any size you wish without any loss in quality. However, I would recommend you have the images printed by professional printers to ensure the absolute best results. There is usually always one in every town.

Is the High Resolution Image Disc copyright free?

I am afraid that the images on the High Res Image Disc are not copyright free, but it does come with my permission to use them as you see fit. However, it does become an issue if you use them for commercial purposes and make money from them. This is copyright infringement. If you would like to use them for this, you would need to seek my permission to do so.

What is a DVD Slideshow?

The DVD Photo Slideshow is a disc that works in your home DVD player and plays the photos in order as they were taken at your Cyprus wedding. Set to music of your choosing, the slideshow acts like a story of your day using still images.
